Fabien Petit is a national of France, where he grew up and started his education in Paris. Mr Petit has a double Bachelor Degree in Geography and Urban & Regional Planning obtained at the University of Sorbonne and the Institute of Geography, in Paris. After his study, Mr Petit went abroad and choose to settle in Vienna, Austria in order to learn an additional language. Mr Petit is fluent in French, English, German, Spanish and he's actually learning Russian.
Mr. Petit has been building up his professional experience by working with Philips, Sagem, and Bwin in Austria. Before joining the Agency, he worked for 3 years with the Permanent Workers Program of Québec (Immigration section) at the Canadian Embassy in Austria.
Mr. Petit joined the Technical Cooperation Department of the IAEA in February 2009 as Programme Management Clerk. He is providing support in the implementation of TC activities for Angola, Benin, Botswana, Gabon, Mauritania, Mozambique, Senegal, Tanzania as well as for Regional and Interregional projects.
